Creative Tips for Staying Healthy During Cold (& Flu Season)

With the latest cold snap cold and flu season may come back again. If you want to stay healthy, you will need to get creative. I have some quick tips to help you stay ahead of the crowd and healthy.

Creative Tips for Staying Healthy During Cold (& Flu Season)

Take naps

Yes, naps. Not sleeping enough puts stress on your immune system. A 30-minute nap will boost your immune system and help battle fatigue.

Take disposable cleaning wipes, tissues, and other cold & flu supplies with you, so you are never caught out.

Pack your own lunch

Going out to eat can be risky this time of the year. There are lots of people all in a confined space, and that is if you get there on a slippery pavement. Bring your own lunch to work and avoid the crowd.

Wear gloves

It is cold, so keep your hands warm.  Gloves also create a barrier between you and the people around you. Wearing gloves when you are out shopping can help reduce your risk of getting sick. Make sure to wash your gloves regularly too!

Take naps. I may have mentioned this one already, but I do like naps.

The common cold tends to go away in about four days. Even if you still have a runny nose and a slight cough, the major symptoms will have faded in less than a week. Most people can carry on with work and other normal tasks during this time. The flu tends to stick around longer and its symptoms often make everyday chores difficult, if not impossible.

If you need a little help to have a good nights sleep then I find a Moor Hydrating Herbal Bath incredibly relaxing before bed.
